We hope everyone who made it back to Ancaster enjoyed the reunion. Friday night was hosted at the Hamilton Golf & Country Club and we wanted to thank the staff there for there gracious hospitality, service and good food. The Saturday Rock 'n Roll Party was hosted at the Southcote 53 Tap & Grill and the place was rockin all night long. It was great to see everyone!!!

A big thank you to the reunion organizing committee. What a success!!!!! I had such a great time at both events. Everyone did!!! It was so much fun connecting with people from many years ago. I can't believe that I missed some of you ? It was so crowded, I didn't know that you were there 'til I saw the after-photos on the Facebook forum. Thanks also to my friend (since we were toddlers), Heather Hazell-McMurray, for being my 'date' both evenings.
Tom Roeslein
Lady's and Gents who made this possible. THANKS HUGE!!!!!!! I can't imagine the work involved but I hope the MASSIVE SUCCESS of both nights was worth the effort. Awesome to see you all and more great memories for my hard drive!! Cheers!!

Incredible weekend! So many great videos have been posted with the music from Saturday night... I wish I had the tech skills to put them all together and make a short movie of all the great tunes and all the people dancing. So much fun and we made some great memories. Thanks to everyone who came to the party.
Rob Hall
Great job done by all. Thank you!

Am I ever glad I went! It was absolutely great to see all my school mates from Memorial through AHVS after all these years. An amazing experience! What a beautiful group of people! All of you. And I hope I see you all again. My Facebook connections with all those I saw and shared life stories with have changed from purely cyber to something real! That is priceless. Thanks to all of the organizers for all you did to make this weekend a reality and a literally overwhelming success.

The reunion feeling lingers.... was SO happy to spend the evening catching up over coffee with my first friend EVER!!! Jamie McHugh-Goodman.

What a very positive, fun group. There were many faces this weekend I recognized but never connected with until this weekend. I think we all are looking forward to another reunion, like maybe 5 years. And who knows, maybe Slick will want to play at the next one after all the feedback. I feel truly blessed to have met and helped with everyone on the organising committee.

I have to say I had an absolute blast this weekend. I'm still in a good mood from it. There was so much positive energy. We were all so darn happy to see each other! So many smiles and hugs and laughs :-) I think it has shaken me out of a bit of a rut. It's really within my power to be a positive force and choose to enjoy my friends and family. Thanks for putting together such an awesome event!
Nancy Cronkwright
Thanks to all the organizers! You did an amazing job.
Lisa Cole
Thanks again for such a great time. Lots of time, effort and sincere goodwill went into this event from the organizing committee. Resounding success in my opinion!!! Many thanks.

As one of the members of the organizing committee of this year's reunion, I have to share some thank-yous and a few thoughts. First, it was a pleasure working with my fellow committee members over the last year and a half. Everyone contributed in some way, shape or form to make the reunion a success. There were countless meetings, e-mails, Facebook posts, phone calls, etc., as well as a lot of behind the scenes work by all of us. However, the guy that deserves the biggest pat on the back is Mike Stoltz. As I said to the crowd on Saturday night, this reunion wouldn't have happened without him. He did so much. Second, I took a large amount of gratification watching the efforts of the organizing committee lead to what transpired over this weekend. It was so nice to see so many turn out to renew old friendships and relive old memories of so many years ago. Third, thanks to the various sponsors for contributing funds, raffles prizes, and other items and supplies that were needed to help us meet our budget. Fourth, I thank our two venues - Hamilton Golf & Country Club on Friday and Southcote 53 on Saturday. The Golf Club did a great job hosting Friday's cocktail party, allowing everyone the chance to chat and catch up with one another. Southcote 53 turned into a great location to cut loose and enjoy the bands and the musicians. Fifth, great job Tim Hawkes for organizing the music. Thanks as well to Mike Northcott and his band for anchoring it all. I'm totally amazed that I heard songs by The Jam (A Town Called Malice) and The Monks (Love in Stereo), among others. And to hear our talented classmates bring down the house with all those classic tunes from the 70's and 80's was an awesome way to wind up the reunion. Sixth, thanks to all that showed up to make the reunion what it was. To reiterate some thoughts that Ann-Marie Carruth (Chow) and my sister, Jane Fowler (Pringle) have already posted, this shows how special Ancaster was in the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. It has led to a special bond we all obviously share. I continue to live and work here, but I think some of what we had back then is gone, likely forever. Seventh, I hope that for those that travelled some distance, you got back, or will get back, safe and sound. I also hope Ancaster will always be 'home' for you to some extent, regardless of where you now live, and that when you come back here, you look up those of us that are still in the area. We'd be happy to see you. Eighth, and finally, I hope that this FB group page remains alive and active, as a way for us all to keep in touch, at least until we have another reunion. It's a thought that Mike Stoltz and I shared near the end of Saturday night. Sorry for being long winded (occupational hazard) and perhaps a little maudlin. Just trying to capture some heartfelt feelings before the memories of the weekend begin to fade.

I felt like I was a part of things all the way down here in Nashville. From everything I've seen, y'all did a killer job. I wish I could have been there, but in between interviews and events here, I was always checking my phone to see the latest pictures posted. Congratulations to you all! I promise, I'll be at the next one--and if anyone finds themselves heading down this way, let me know and we'll get together!
Scott Thomson
Andrew thanks to you and the organizing committee. Silvia and I had a great time and she didn't know that many people but was glad she came. You are right in that we grew up in a great place and it has changed a great deal from that time but will always be home. I was blown away by all the talented people we grew up with, musically and otherwise. Thanks again
Lauri Hajas-Barrette
So are we going for the 50th? It was so much fun! Thank you so much to all who organized it!
Cathy Duncan-Atkinson
I have found new friends now. I am so blessed. It was great to be part of such an awesome group of people. Thanks for the laughs. Thanks for the memories. 'Till we meet again!

Sandra Lowden-Klimowski

I too want to add a heartfelt huge thank you to the wonderful friends who put this weekend together. It was fabulous! It was a great time reconnecting with friends. It has showed me how we have all done extraordinary things in our lives. Sometimes we think that it is nothing but it can change the world or someone's life. I know for some high school or school in general may not have been the best and I hope that you came out to see us. I know, and you may think it odd, it has taken me a while, and more education in almost completing another degree,(and more after this) that I have gained more confidence in myself and who I am, who I want to be (when I grow up) and that I can accomplish anything!! Ok, I could go on about it but you all get the gist of what I am saying........ Loved the two nights, both different, both great. The music last night was amazing. Had a great time dancing and listening to all the home grown talent. You all rock!! To those who could not come out, we missed you. There were several people mentioned in conversations. Hoping to see more out at the next one. Keep well, keep safe. Safe travels to those going back home......we will be seeing you again.....or around TO if you visit.
Jane Pringle-Fowler
A last minute decision to join a few friends for dinner turned into a wonderful evening out. Initially I wasn't going to come but I'm really glad that I changed my mind. It was great to see everyone and catch up on what you are all doing. I think we were all fortunate to grow up in the small town of Ancaster at the time we did. It's part of who we are and in my eyes, we all seemed to turn out pretty darn good! A big shout out to the organizers of the event and the bands who rocked the evening. THE MUSIC WAS PHENOMENAL!

Wow! Many, many thanks from Bob and I to the Reunion Committee for countless hours of hard work! But - what a success! We had so much fun! The food and company was fantastic Friday night - as usual the HG&CC did not disappoint. And then the shift to Southcote 53 was a great chance to get more casual and really have some fun! Loved the bands and the chance to dance with great friends from days gone by - who I realize I miss very much! Feeling kind of blue - sifting through the chance meetings, from the semi shy waves to the big hugs - seeing all those faces and remembering those days. Seems so cliché but really where did the time go? And how do you stay in touch with everyone when our lives have taken us in such different directions? Thankful for Facebook and this group - I guess this is one way to stay in touch at least for those who are part of it. Not sure if this happened to others but I realized that I really missed some friends who meant a lot to me and I am not even sure they know it. Gosh - enough of that... I just want to say once again - I had a blast - so happy to see everyone who managed to come. Actually thank you to everyone who made the effort (whether it was time, travel, money or plucking up the courage). And hoping if we ever get the chance again - that we see even more - as there were many faces from the past I missed seeing. Take care everyone and bye for now!
Susan Penny-Costie
Gord and I had a great time Friday night! Gord especially loved seeing and reminiscing with Bob about their childhood fishing days growing up in Ancaster. Take care everyone.

Attended the high school reunion on the weekend and it was terrific to reunite with two of my longtime friends and teammates from our 1970 WORLD T-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP team, John Alpaugh and Vince Scime. Gord McGuire and Gord Costie were there too but I didn't run into them all at the same time unfortunately. GOOD TIMES!
John Uptegrove
Hats off to the organizing committee. What a great night!

Thanks for uploading all the photos to Facebook!! It has been so much fun to look at the photos and read the comments; actually, made me feel like I was there! Thanks to the committee for putting so much hard work and effort into organising the events. Whether able to attend or not, I feel that the initiative has brought everyone closser together, so thank you!
